Includes DWI You must be fully qualified under Federal and State law to purchase a handgun. (Age limitation does not apply to Active military or honorably discharged veterans but all other qualifications must be met.) You must not have been finally determined to be delinquent in child support, taxes or student loans. (If you have a court approved payment plan you should be eligible.) You must not be currently restricted under a restraining order or protective order affecting the spousal relationship. You must not have made any material misrepresentation or failed to disclose any material fact in an application or request for application. You must not be a fugitive from justice.
